A letter to the discouraged

Updated: Oct 27, 2020

When I read God's Word, I ask my Father, what do you want to tell me today? And his voice is always encouraging. Loving. If I ever hear a voice that condemns, that says I’m not good enough, or brings up my past...it’s not his voice...that is the voice of the accuser. The Liar.

I know this bc Romans 8:1 says “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ”

But God is love, I John 4:8. So I know His voice is kind.

1 Peter 5:8 says the devil prowls about like a lion, seeking whom to devour. And in John 10:10, Jesus, says the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but I came to give you life abundantly.

Have you ever felt like you’ve been robbed? Taken for granted? I have. That is our enemy, Satan.

He wants to discourage us to the point we won’t believe in God’s goodness anymore.

Jesus says in John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

Our Father, the King of Kings, has defeated the devil and all his lies. If your Father is the King of Kings, what does that make you? Royalty!

I am no longer a slave to fear. I am a child of God!

Galatians 4:7 says “Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.”

Wow! An heir of God!

It really is as simple as it was in Sunday School. 😁

I am praying you will hear the loving voice of our Father! I am praying you will experience the abundant life only found in Christ. ❤️

Much love,

Jennifer
